Bits And Pieces

It's that time of the year again...KL Book Fair 2011, it's the time that is much awaited by my daughter, Nani. This is the time when she can bargain with her dad to buy her as many novels as she could. This is the time when the dad gives in to the wishes of the daughter. It's not so much excitement for her sister, Mimi for she is not an avid novel reader like her big sister. Nonetheless, the idea of going and feasting her eyes with zillions of books makes her as eager as her sister wanting to go to the fair...It has been a yearly event for our family since the past three years. Last Saturday, we went to the fair after school and a wedding - hubby said since we were not so far away from PWTC, so we better stop by to have a look. I was dead tired and not keen of going but the children were more than happy to do so. I hate it when.....  a car parked at the middle of a busy road with the driver inside pretending that he is invisible to the rest of the world people say "I don't know how to do it" when they don't even try people claim that they are busy, and you find them busy facebooking or watching youtube people busy talking to each other in a meeting someone thinks he/she is always right  Grrrrr....

I do agree with the expression - the first step is the hardest coz it takes a great effort and courage for a person to change his/her way of thinking and perspective and to some people they'll just never gonna change.... Been working with these teachers for quite some time now (could be a few years), but I still don't understand the way of their thinking or working style....I know that some of them are very good but in certain aspects they just need to learn from others (sometimes, it could be their own students). Maybe the first step they need to take is to ask questions or to try a new thing, for a change... some hardcore teachers never want to change from their own principles and beliefs that they live by for years. Another thing is that these so-called excellent teachers never learn from their past mistakes...they keep on repeating the same mistakes and blaming their students for the flaws....little did they realise that everytime they are pointing fingers at their stude

Been busy these few days...uhuh...as if I don't have a life anymore.....desperately in need for a break...

Monique and Nioka ( Nayyoka ), two beautiful Aussie girls were chosen to be my foster daughters for two days. The teachers themselves picked the pair for every foster family based on their own evaluation of the students and potential foster parents. Initially, I was not thrilled when my second boss sort of forced me to be a foster parent....  Anyway, I'm glad that I made the decision to take them home for two days as they are friendly and easy to be with albeit a little awkwardness in the beginning.... I noticed both of them were always together since the day of their arrival to our school...The teachers knew best who could get along with whom, although I heard one of the pairs had their big row after being sent back by their foster parents... Breaking the ice while exploring the jungle .... They love our pet rabbits and hamsters and played together with my kids.....  All in all, I'm delighted to know these two girls and it was a good learning experience for both
