An anniversary and a birthday...

Image
So, yesterday the day had finally arrived and its hard to believe that I woke up with the knowledge that it won't be a typical Wednesday morning...(hubby took a day off amidst his busy schedule, thanks dear) its our most awaited anniversary - Our 25th anniversary... I know what we have been through all these years, its not all shine throughout, I must admit and we have our ups and downs. Nevertheless, it was all worth it and those difficult times have made us wiser and our relationship become stronger...it was just a way for us to learn more about our strengths and weaknesses ( I know that I'm still learning even after all these years)... it added spice to our lives... And I'm most grateful to my hubby for those wonderful years that we shared... None-the-less, Every time we celebrate our anniversary, there'll always be the third person who would join our special day because it is also her birthday - Nani has turned seventeen and she is in the middle of her

10 commandments of Human relations...

I found this Commandments of Human Relation in a torn book that I 'd like to do away. Just like to share it here so it'll not be gone with the book... (L'ecole Des Ettiquette Training guide) 1. S peak to people There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting  2. Call people by name The sweetest music to  any one's ear is the sound of their own name 3. Be friendly and helpful If you want to have friends, you've to be friendly 4. Be cordial Speak and act as if everything you do were genuine pleasure 5. Be considerate of others' feelings This will be very much appreciated 6. Bear in mind others' opinion There are three sides to a controversy - yours, the other person and the right one 7. Be genuinely interested in people You can like almost everybody if you try 8. Be generous with praise; cautious with criticism Remember, the best thing to do behind a person's back is to pat it

The Girl who...

I know its a bit too late for me to be reading this trilogy but what the heck,  better late than never, so the saying goes....When I first laid my eyes on these books last year, I've never thought that I would read them as obviously they are not my types, I don't really go for crime stories (even though, I read Sidney Sheldon's) but last month when my friend told me that she was reading the third book of this trilogy, it occurred to me that these books must be great...so, I bought the first two when I had the chance and they were on discount...     By the end of October I've finished reading both of the great books, it took me about three weeks to finish those books, juggling my times reading and other routine. I must say the story is different from what I've normally read and it doesn't finish even after I've the second one...thus, I needed to get the third book. The third book is the conclusion to all of the mysteries. Even so, f

November

Image
credit November has always been my favourite month of the year. This is because there are plenty of things that I'm looking forward to this month. The first thing that comes across my mind is that the school holiday is just around the corner. smiles. Secondly, in November there will my wedding anniversary and this year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary. Hmm...hard to believe it's been that long. Nonetheless, before enjoying my holidays and celebrating anything there are loads of things that need to be settled down. First, today Nov. 14th is D Day for SPM candidates to be sitting for their exam. Not only the students are nervous, we the teachers are also having butterflies in our stomachs especially when we were sending them off to the exam hall this morning....I could see some parents were present as well to see their children off to their battle field. How lucky they are... and pity my daughter, Nani for not having even one parent to see her off to the

Blessing moments

It's the time of the year when we are having an event that called " Majlis Restu Ilmu". It has become a yearly event at almost every school of late especially when the BIG day is nearing...SPM examination. This is the time when students come to meet all the teachers and ask for their forgiveness and blessings. It was a touching moment for me when some of the students came with tears rolling down their cheeks asking for forgiveness. It does not necessarily mean that they have done great sins or broken my heart or anything like that. Its just their ways of coming clean with us, the teachers, so they believe that they would answer the exam well... Some of them even came with their parents thanking us and asking for our blessings. I believe it was be due to the fact that this year's program was conducted by the president of PTA of our school who happens to be a motivator. He had given a very moving speech that touched deep in our hearts; the students, parents and
