Bits And Pieces

On father's day weekend, the girls attempted baking carrot cake for the first time for their dad. It turned out great and dad loved it very much. It was so creamy yet crunchy with lots of walnuts and pumpkin seeds.  Just a week before, it was my birthday and the kids suggested that we brought creme brule cheese cake  since they had never tried it before ( tho i have tried it). So, on the way back from the wedding one weekend we stopped by a secret recipe restaurant to buy the cake. Sadly, tho it was out of stock. Since it was late in the afternoon and we were tired after attending two weddings, we bought  this 'choc cheese berry' cake instead... never tried it before and it's not bad, very rich in chocolate, cheese and rashberry... here goes the cake (the first cake four days before D day) Then, on Tuesday we went to Cameron Highlands  and we bought some strawberries back. the girls secretly had planned to bake another cake for my birthday. So...

Before the end of the schools break, my daughters managed to persuade their dad to spend a day at Cameron Highlands. The original plan was to go to Bukit Tinggi in Pahang but he refused to go for some reasons. He has been busy with his work and study thus he he doesn't care much about going for holiday... i don't remember the last time we went for a holiday as a family... Weekends were out of question since there were more than half a dozen wedding invitations that we need to attend. So, anyway last Tuesday morning off we went to Cameron Highlands; just the five of us, hubby and I and the three girls who were beyond excited to go (none of the boys were going).   Since hubby had given a condition that he would be studying in the car all  the way if he was to go (his exam was on the following day), so  Sha was driving and I could tell that she loved every moment of it .. We arrived there at around noon and the place seemed crowded with people as it was ...

It's my birthday today and hubby is on his way back home from Kuantan. He posted this photo with a birthday wish on my facebook timeline... It's a surprise...can't wait till he gets home... Thanks so much my dear, love you...

So, yesterday the day had finally arrived and its hard to believe that I woke up with the knowledge that it won't be a typical Wednesday morning...(hubby took a day off amidst his busy schedule, thanks dear) its our most awaited anniversary - Our 25th anniversary... I know what we have been through all these years, its not all shine throughout, I must admit and we have our ups and downs. Nevertheless, it was all worth it and those difficult times have made us wiser and our relationship become stronger...it was just a way for us to learn more about our strengths and weaknesses ( I know that I'm still learning even after all these years)... it added spice to our lives... And I'm most grateful to my hubby for those wonderful years that we shared... None-the-less, Every time we celebrate our anniversary, there'll always be the third person who would join our special day because it is also her birthday - Nani has turned seventeen and she is in the middle of h...

 Today is my second son's birthday......the second birthday of this month, normally we celebrated his birthday together with Mimi but this year we celebrate them separately, less than one week apart cause he is away at college. The good thing is that we've got to eat two cakes for weeks in the row and this  time is every body's favourite, blueberry cheesecake...

This girl, Mimi had turned 15 two days ago.......Happy sweet 15th birthday, may you are blessed on your special day. Don't be lazy to study as your exam is just round the corner.....all the best to you. Her Chocolate strawberry cake....

Yesterday was my birthday and it was the first time ever that I celebrated with my mom and sister... I also would like to extend my millions of thanks to all my friends, relatives and students for their kind wishes via sms and facebook  My surprise birthday cake ( steamed chocolate cake ) made by my daughter and sister.... And surprise birthday breakfast, cinnamon rolls  Yumm, yummy......thanks all for a wonderful day... 

Today, when the world is celebrating valentine's day my family is celebrating something else (we are not celebrating valentine's day) that is the birthday of my first born. It is not much of celebrating, actually, since everybody is busy including the birthday boy.....but the most important thing for us is the thought....and our normal birthday celebration is either buying a cake to take home or having dinner together (if everyone in the family is around). Of late, however, buying the birthday cake seemed to be the better option and for his birthday this time we will probably celebrate it tomorrow as it is  a public holiday in Malaysia. In reality, it is a bigger scale of birthday celebration when the world is celebrating Prophet Muhammad's (SAW)  birthday.. Anyway, I just want to wish happy birthday to my boy and hope he will be blessed for the rest of his life and be a good role model for his siblings..... My birthday ...

Tomorrow is my anniversary and here I would like to wish my beloved hubby (since I'll be on duty at school tomorrow and he will be sitting for his Final Exam...) Happy anniversary my dear, thanks for all the wonderful years we have been together.... I don't even remember my life without you.....hope we (and our family) are blessed on this special day......and all the best in your exam...don't worry about the celebration, we will think of something (special) later... Secondly, it is also my daughter's sixteenth birthday. Happy Sixteenth Birthday Nani.... Don't forget, no more reading novels after this until your SPM next year.... And since I'm at it, I would also like to wish my eldest daughter, Shasha all the best in her upcoming practical......good luck Sha.... And finally to Mimie, my youngest daughter for helping me a lot in designing this blog...
