I've always been waiting for this time of the year...Yep, KL book fair.. source source only if I had more time to bury myself in all those books... sigh!!!

So, after almost three agonizing months finally our school has been certified with  5S  certification by the  MPC  yesterday. Fifth of April will always be a memorable date for all of us when all our efforts has been paid off with the most consequential announcement by En. Mohd Tajuddin, the visiting auditor from MPC. En. Mohd Tajudin (right) and the principal Prior to his conclusive visit yesterday, he came to our school  for pre-audit on 23rd  of March. Apparently, it is how it works, the MPC come to have a visit about a week or two before the real audit/certification for some last minute advice and suggestions.  Then, if we comply with what he had suggested, we'd get the certification... Sounds simple, right? But the reality is not that straight forward...we had to go through a lot of hard labor and sweat and misunderstanding and whatnot in order to make it work. Well, finally it's over and we can move on with our dail...

My hubby's youngest sister's wedding reception was held on 17 March at hubby's hometown and the following day was at the groom's place. Since she is the youngest in the family and probably the last one to be held at my in-laws', it was rather big by "kampung's" standard. All the family members were helping out doing 'rewang' and it was the most tiring wedding that I've ever attended. It was a kind of wedding that I didn't get to enjoy and be part of... Due to some last minute changes, my daughters and I had to cook for the 'makan berdamai' and we only got to change to our new dresses only after we've finished cooking at noon.  And by the time we were all exhausted and didn't even get the energy to take photos of our finished products...huhu... However, we had to come out and entertain the guests and relatives ( my mom and siblings came all the way from Kedah to Johor, so of course we need to entertain them).  ...

The SPM result was released last Wednesday and it was the best result so far our school has achieved. Last year's result was also the best recorded SPM result in five years for overall achievement with the National Average Grade at 5.04 compared with 5.19 in 2010. Congratulations to all my former students who had done our school proud... Some of the best students who had done us proud... Also, congratulations to my beloved daughter, Nani for the best SPM result for the family. Even though you didn't get straight A's, you've surpassed your big brother's achievement. 7a's is good enough and I'm so proud of you... and congrats for passing your driving test a few week before the result was released.  I know you must be thrilled and excited to be driving to school to take your result...

Khal or Vinegar in English is probably one of the oldest and most versatile food item known to us. Nevertheless, I've  never thought that it (dates vinegar) could be used as medicine and what more shocking to me that it has been used as medicinal property since the beginning of Islam (maybe even longer than that) and was one of prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) favourite food. When our school started to ( requested to)  participate in    the 5S programme, our already hectic life has become more hectic than ever... Whenever we've got free time, we'll be decluttering, organizing and categorizing our things and it's become endless until the end of school day every day. Thus, most of the teachers need to stay back almost every single day of the week to make sure everything is ready by the end of March. And now it's the middle of March already...hmmm...sometimes we are fed up with it but we've got to go on, for school's ( and everybody's ) sake... How I wish my office will look like this after so much time and energy I've given to it... source instead of  looking like this.... Nonetheless, there are many things that we have achieved and improved in the process...and as one of the internal auditors, I know what I'm talking about since I've seen the 'before' and 'after' of all the zones in the schoo...
