Amal's wedding

My hubby's youngest sister's wedding reception was held on 17 March at hubby's hometown and the following day was at the groom's place. Since she is the youngest in the family and probably the last one to be held at my in-laws', it was rather big by "kampung's" standard.

All the family members were helping out doing 'rewang' and it was the most tiring wedding that I've ever attended. It was a kind of wedding that I didn't get to enjoy and be part of...

Due to some last minute changes, my daughters and I had to cook for the 'makan berdamai' and we only got to change to our new dresses only after we've finished cooking at noon.  And by the time we were all exhausted and didn't even get the energy to take photos of our finished products...huhu...

However, we had to come out and entertain the guests and relatives (my mom and siblings came all the way from Kedah to Johor, so of course we need to entertain them).

Anyway, i'm so proud of my three daughters who helped out from the beginning till the end and still managed to be happy and all smiles at their aunt's wedding...

Before the end of the schools break, my daughters managed to persuade their dad to spend a day at Cameron Highlands. The original plan was to go to Bukit Tinggi in Pahang but he refused to go for some reasons. He has been busy with his work and study thus he he doesn't care much about going for holiday... i don't remember the last time we went for a holiday as a family... How to say no to your boss?

Well.....  the truth is you simply don't......it's something that I learnt that from my previous boss who advised me years back when I jhad just started my early career, the three magic words "never say no". Just the other day, I was debating with myself whether to say no or just accept my boss's suggestion (read: order) without giving him a slightest idea that I'm not capable of doing it ......it's kinda hard to explain coz it's not my job and I don't want to be a scapegoat to be doing it just because somebody else doesn't want to do it.  Anyway, it happened in the meeting, out of the blue like one bright idea bestowed upon him, my boss suggested me doing it ......which, no doubt appalled everyone in the committee and I was left absolutely stunned and speechless........obviously, I didn't make any comment and it was decided then....
