Back to school

How I wish the school holidays will never end so that we can just stay at home and do nothing (well, I mean nothing that will make you having a headache ...). How fast time flies, even when you don't really have a good time...after three weeks of school for 2012, then one week break for Chinese New Year's celebration...

Then today is the start of our same old routine and it's the second last day of January, before we even realizing it 's going to be February and the challenge for this year is about to be materialized by our hard toil and the headache, along with it...

Nonetheless, let's just hope for the best and everything will work out smoothly for this year.

One day trip...

On the last day of 2011, we went for one day trip to Johor. It was partly intentional coz actually it was a wedding invitation by hubby's former boss (so we really need to attend no matter how far it is). We started off very early in the morning, just before 8.00 right after having breakfast of nasi lemak that I'd prepared in the wee hours of the morning.

The wedding reception was done at IOI Palm Villa Golf and Country, Kulai. It was a nice and cosy place.

We arrived there quite early, at around 11.30 and the bride and the groom haven't yet arrived, so the pelamin (dais) was still empty. Nonetheless, there were guests who were obviously earlier than us and about to leave when we had just arrived. Besides, we were being entertained by a group of great local vocalists...

This girl in hijab sang both of my favourite songs beautifully,  "Hero" by Mariah Carey and "Because you love me" by Celine Dion. We stayed for about half an hour and had to make our move at 12.00 to make way for in-coming guests....

On the way back, while it was still bright and early, hubby made a suggestion to stop by at Ayer Hitam. The place is well-known for its pottery. The girls were really happy to hear that and they had already made plan on things to buy for them. Ultimately, each one of them went home with a stuffed bear.

Once upon a time, I used to collect these kinds of ceramics...

A variety shapes of coin-boxes...

Hubby bought me one set of these cute containers, which I would use to keep my sambal kicap (hot soy sauce)...
