Transformation...

So it is official now, starting next year our school and other technical schools in the country (except for the selected few) will transform to Vocational Colleges. The 'consolidation ceremony' was held last Saturday in Putrajaya for technical schools in central zone and there'll be a series of the talk for the rest of the zones. Some of the teachers from central zone It's going to be the second headache for us as we will no longer be like other schools in the country with so many holidays. This year is the final year for us, the teachers to enjoy long holidays since there will semester system once we have transformed to college and the teaching hours will end at 5.00pm. Some panicked colleagues had applied for transfer to other conventional schools to enjoy the shorter school hours and the long holidays, but  most of them didn't get to transfer. They would to try again next year, for sure. But for me (after having transferred 7 times in my entire teaching

5S

Early last year I wrote about 4S , the name of a school in my area, but now it's about ' five S', a program that was developed in Japan years ago and it's my first headache for this year... Right now, our school is going to practise this system and we are all out about it coz we need to accomplish our mission by the end of March. That means our school should be able to get the certificate by the MPC   by March   or we  fail. Well, right now we are only on the first stage of five... and we are almost exasperated by it due to time and financial constraints. We have exactly two months to turn the whole school to a more conducive and safer place for students and teachers. I know that most schools that have managed to achieve the 5S certificate took years or at least months to do so (with an exception of one particular school that only took a month to accomplish it).
