Reorganization

Image
It's the last day of May, I can't quite believe it's been five solid months of 2011.... how do I keep up so far? Uhh...let's see, I've been meaning to do a monthly reflection in this blog but I realize, it stopped after February...so now it's like a three-month reflection. Okay, where do I start? Actually, there are a few things that need to be reorganized both at home and at work.... speaking of which, I still haven't finished marking the exam paper....one more class to go and one report to submit and tomorrow I'll be on duty at school so i can settle the report and catch up with some marking... As far as work is concerned, there's not much that can be done during this school holiday but as for home, there are loads of intentions and plannings but none of those have been really materialized until now... I'm intending to reorganize my wardrobe cause it's been overflowing with clothes (some even need to be  hung outside), but I've

Bai'ah

Image
The first time I heard about it early this year when my principal mentioned it a few times in the meeting. But, to be honest I hadn't had a slightest idea of the significance of it until last week when we were told that our school was short-listed for this 'bai'ah' or the new deal for the principals. Well, anyway if you are getting something like this big (the whole school will be getting some amount of bonus), surely it would be a host of things that you should be doing to prove that you are qualified.. hmmm.....documents, documents and more documents (who said we are going to paperless world? Every single thing needs to be documented...sigh!) Then, after two long days of updating and touching up all the necessary fails and documentations, come the inspectorates to verify that we have all those essential items.... For me, it doesn't really matter if we are getting it or not, the most important thing is that our school has been recognized among those elit

Love Pizza

Image
The first time we ate heart-shaped pizza for this year was during Mother's Day lunch at Pizza Hut early this month. The photo that I posted in mother's day post went missing... so here it goes... Then, a couple days ago..Sha who is having her one month break right now tried to make her own pizza as she was jealous of her sisters who had made pizza a few times...the only difference was sha likes to experiment more with her cooking as compared to her sisters who would follow strictly to the recipe.... She made a heart-shaped and a square pizzas.... Her first attempt of a heart-shaped pizza....it was raher ermmmm...but was delicious..  Her square pizza This is her burger special for me....it was the day after...

Exam Fever

This week is the final week for the first term (semester) and soon it will be a school break. For most schools, it's the exam week. As for my school, it's been the third week of the Mid Year Examination. Students are answering Engineering drawing paper   One week before the exam, the students attended answering techniques conducted by every panel for each subject....in short, they are well-equipped prior to the exam....All the best to all of my students... And now, it's my turn as the teacher to mark all these exam papers. Now I'm in the midle of marking and taking a short break for writing this post...and really hope that I could finish it before the mid term holiday so that I could take my mind off school for a while (two weeks) hehe...

The battle of the Brains

I attended an assembly called " Rapat 1 Malaysia" on 4th of May with a friend of mine. We represented our school to the gathering that was held for the representatives from all schools of Selangor state. There were about 1,000 teachers attended the assembly at INTEKMA resort and convention center, Shah Alam.. It was officiated by the deputy of Education Minister, Dr. Haji Mohd Puad Zakarshi. However, I'm not going to talk about the whole assembly....just wanna touch on the highlight of the day which was the appearance of two guest speakers, the most notable men in Malaysian education, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Khoo Kay Kim of U.M and Prof. Madya Dr. P. Sivamurugan of U.S.M   I really admire these two speakers who are really good in their fields but most of all for the fact that both are very eloquent speakers.  Prof. Siva speaks Malay like it was his mother tongue and it was really amazing. While Prof. Khoo was very cool in explaining everything, especially abo

Mother's day

Image
Aan came home on Friday showing me his gift for mother's day.....he couldn't wait until Sunday to give it to me ....it's nothing much, only a brooch he bought at school but it really means something to him cause he bought it with his pocket money and he was really proud about it, showing it to his siblings and asking them for their gifts.... He demanded me to put on his brooch on Saturday for my answering technique at school and asked if anybody noticed it.....Yes, I said and I lied cause nobody really noticed it... Then, on Sunday it was the day to celebrate with the whole family and this year all of my children came back to celebrate....Last year, it was only a surprise cake and flowers delivered to my door....this year, however, there was no cake.. We went to Sunway Pyramid to celebratesince the girls wanted to buy something there. The parking was almost full when we arrived but we managed to park at level 6... After they were done with their shopping, we went to

Monday Bliss....

I'm grateful for a long weekend we 're having this week- its time for me to unleash my mind from the strain of work all month long.. eventhough it's not a real break, at least it is a breakaway from busy routine.. Saturday as usual our shopping day...we spent half-a-day shopping.....what a bliss, we got a litlle something for almost everyone of us....apart from the kitchen supplies... On Sunday, we went for a wedding...then the whole afternoon, it was chilling out till night Today, apart from daily routine at home...I'm resting again while hubby is busy studying for his Final Exam... Speaking of exam, I still haven't finished typing my exam questions yet...but, on the second thought... let it be...I'm resting today...I don't want to spoil the day thinking about work.....
