5S

Early last year I wrote about 4S, the name of a school in my area, but now it's about 'five S', a program that was developed in Japan years ago and it's my first headache for this year...

Right now, our school is going to practise this system and we are all out about it coz we need to accomplish our mission by the end of March. That means our school should be able to get the certificate by the MPC by March or we  fail.

Well, right now we are only on the first stage of five... and we are almost exasperated by it due to time and financial constraints. We have exactly two months to turn the whole school to a more conducive and safer place for students and teachers. I know that most schools that have managed to achieve the 5S certificate took years or at least months to do so (with an exception of one particular school that only took a month to accomplish it).

The five main phases in  'Five S' :

Sort - Seiri
Set in order - Seiton
Shine - Seiso
Standardize - Seiketsu
Sustain - Shisuke

This is what we do for the sorting stage...

There are  loads and loads of papers and books to be sold...

...and what bothers me a lot is that I have to get rid of this yellow fellow...

Bye, Sponge Bob...
