Malacca River Cruise

My children had always wanted to go on a river cruise every time we go to Malacca but it was finally materialized two weeks ago. It was a treat for Shasha's convo, even though it was not the first time for her. Normally, hubby would say we don't have time to waste on a cruise like that but that day was an exception.

We arrived quite early on Sunday morning coz we needed to check out from the home-stay by noon. It was not so many people at the time we arrived the jetty... we waited for 15 minutes for other tourists to join us on the boat...

I was glad to be spending 45 minutes on the cruise as it was quite interesting and informative. The kids were enjoying the ride and snapping lots of pictures along the way.

The row of shops along the river were painted with colourful and interesting graffiti...

Each painting has its own story and history behind it. There was also a recorded commentaries on the cruise.  It explained each of the places in details plus some history related to it... it was like having a listening history lesson which was pretty interesting...

A couple of tourists waving at us...

The sky was overcast but fortunately it was not raining til the end of our cruise. Overall, we enjoyed the sightseeing and would love to go on the night cruise next time we visit Malacca...
